a gift from a husband

::Edited::

Mon. 1.25pm

Today I'm so happy. I received a lovely gift from my hubby. It is small but realistic gift. Yes, it is my first supplement CC from my hubby. LOL! hao liannya!

Actually, I don't see this card as my extra pocket money but as kind of 'protection' or 'insurance' from a hubby during emergency (when I need money urgently) whenever and wherever I am, especially when he is not beside me.

xie xie ling for the gift. I will remember to use it whenever there is 'emergency'. Hehe.

-lovely gift from hubby :D-

Childhood M.I.Y snacks

Last Saturday, my fellow colleagues and I chatted about a very interesting topic - childhood snacks. I would like to jot down those MIY (Mix It Yourself) recipes that my colleagues ever tried and they like it very much when they were small.

1. + +
::Method:: Spread some butter on crackers. After that, sprinkle some sugar on top of the butter. Ready to serve.

2. + +
::Method:: Spread some butter on crackers. Then, sprinkle cocoa powder on top of the butter as much as you like. Ready to serve.
3. + +
::Method:: Spread some condensed milk on crackers. Then, Sprinkle some sugar on top of the condensed milk. Ready to serve.
4. + +
::Method:: Spread some condensed milk on crackers. Then, sprinkle cocoa powder on top of the condensed milk. Ready to serve.

5. only
::Method:: Just spoon it to your mouth! Yum Yum!
6. +

::Method:: Get few spoons of condensed milk into your mug. Add in milo powder as much as you like. Stir it. Ready to serve.

7.** +

::Method:: Dip the crackers into soy sauce and ready to serve.

Believe it or not. The recipes above are new to me. I never try those yet in my life. Realise that one of the recipe marked **. My fellow colleague says this one syiok! But I say I shocked at the way he eat the cracker. :P

Yea, I admit that I was not as creative as they are to make such wonderful snacks during childhood. How wonderful if you could mix your favourite ingredients and make yourself snacks when you are small?

Hm.. I definitely will get my Agnes to make one for me if she found her own MIY recipes one day.

a gift

Agnes got a pleasant surprise from a big sis yesterday. TA DA! A set of 24 colour pencils Staedtler.

-a gift decorated with a nice red ribbon and a wishing card-

This is Agnes' first set of long and big color pencils set. She keeps saying she grew up and ready to use these long color pencils. haha. She is so happy and excited to try all these color pencils.

-see how 'big' is the colour pencil in this tiny hand?-

So, who is the big sis? I can't upload her pretty pics here because she is a shy lady. :p Let's call her sis G. :D.

Sis G's message to Agnes:

wax crayon

Last Wednesday afternoon, I went to Ngiukee, Saberkas and bought a new Faber Castell Wax Crayons for Agnes. This crayon costs me RM5.00 (RM5.50-10%).

-wax crayon-

I'm not sure the differences between wax crayons and normal crayons. I never try it before. ya lar.. I know I am bit sua pa lao. A bit only ok.

Its packaging stated the following nice features of the crayons:

  1. Non-toxic, smooth rich colours
  2. Chunky size easy to hold
  3. Special clean wax formulation means no mess for little fingers
  4. Individually paper wrapped to help prevent breakage

-wax crayon in her hand-

Yes, Agnes likes it. :) I hope she will find more fun with her new wax crayon when colouring. hahaha!

-'pepper', Agnes' first picture coloured using new wax crayon. Very nice! :) -

bamboo plant

My father-in-law decorated a bamboo plant in a nice pot last Sunday afternoon.

-I grade it 'A' for this bamboo plant as it made by someone who is first timer to do crafting. Haha.-

The bamboo plant was put at the bottom level of display shelf in the living room. A place where easily reached by kids. I don't know why FIL wants to put it there. Maybe he wants to display his first made plant in the living room and that's the only space available. (Of course there is available space, we have moved all the things there to somewhere else eversince Agnes starts to walk and grab things) So, here comes my headache.

Agnes started to get her toy and dip it into the bamboo pot! Hey dear, why you keep dipping your toy into the pot?

Then we find out that there is plenty water kept in the pot. This is to keep the bamboo plant grow healthily.

Yea, she is so smart. Naughty smart. Smart enough to find something new for her own entertainment. So, we moved the plant to somewhere else to prevent she plays with the plant water. Sorry ya, pa. ;p

poor little friend

24 July 2006

Mon. 8.55pm

Agnes gets her new friend home somewhere in May - 'little giraffe' from a birthday friend in her play school. It is one of her favourite toy friend.

Agnes has a little giraffe
little giraffe, little giraffe
Agnes has a little giraffe
its fur is yellowish

(Tune: Mary had a little lamb)

-'little giraffe'-

The 'little giraffe' is made of soft yellowish furry cloth. It is nice to hold. Sometimes Agnes likes to hold it when she goes to bed. The size of the giraffe is about adult's palm size only. It has small magnets in its four legs which can stick it on metal surfaces such as fridge.

One night, when I was about to sleep. I found 'little giraffe' helpless in ... ... oh gosh! Agnes, how could you do this to your little best friend?

-poor 'little giraffe' was found in a toilet roll!-

Rock-a-bye, baby
In the treetop
When the wind blows
The cradle will rock ...

We were all sleeping like a baby. Suddenly, I find myself wet in bed! My Gosh! yes, my bottom is totally wet! Part of my blanket is wet! Bed is flooded! What had happened to me?! I peed in bed?!! oh NO! NO! I just went for a toilet break around 1:45am. I don't remember when is my last time to pee in bed when I was very young though. I don't remember at all. I can't believe I peed at this age - 27?! NO way man. Then, I realise somebody sleep close to me. Yea, that's my little 2 year-old Agnes. She sleeps sweetly next to me, in my bed. I wonder when she moves from her own bed and sleep next to me. Oppss!! wait wait! It could be Agnes who peed in bed?!! Oh Gosh! Agnes's clothes are totally wet! AGNES!!!! Why you xu xu on bed?! Why you didn't wake up to pee in your little potty? Then, I quickly wake my hubby up to help cleaning all the mess. I worry Agnes get cold in her wet clothes. She gets fever these few days and now in recovering progress. I don't want her sick again. At first, my hubby was shocked to find I got wet in bed and even suspect me I'm the one who peed. AIYO! please lar.. :(

Hubby get Agnes change to clean pyjamas. I dump all the wet bedsheet, wet blanket to washing machine. After get ourselves clear and clean, we all get back to sleep. It's still early to get ready for school or work afterall.

Agnes get back to her comfy bed and hubby sleeps at his dry comfy space in bed. My space is WET. SOB SOB! So I have to squeeze the dry space with hubby. Thanks hubby...

bappy: B, who peed in bed? chou4 chou4 (stink in mandarin)

agnes: mummy peed.

* mummy fainted
*bappy laugh silently

bappy: *whiperring to mummy* b is smart

mummy: is B peed in bed? *ask again

agnes: no, is mummy.

mummy: ... ...(feel so innocent but funny)

*bappy laugh silently again
